TAWEE RAJANEEKORN : ART AND SOCIAL ISSUE

Abstract

The particular thesis focuses on the study of the artist Thawee Ratchaneekorn's artworks are divided into 7 periods following: 1) Period of Silpakorn University student since B.E. 2501-2504 2) The Vietnam War era 3) The letter era 6 October B.E. 2519 4) The mixed media, sculpture in the decade of B.E. 2530 5) The technical era mixed on the papers, the palm leaves B.E. 2542-2546 6) Period of social and political painting in the decade of B.E. 2540 7) Period of humanity and Thai society in the decade of B.E. 2550-2559. The study indicated that:

1. Conceptual backgrounds of the artworks can classified into 5 subjects: 1) The artworks inspired by the nature and environment 2) The artworks inspired by way of life 3) The artworks inspired by Vietnam War 4) The artworks inspired by Thai political and 5) The artworks inspired by Thai society

2. Style, technique and process of Thawee Ratchaneekorn’s artworks are produced: 1) Realism painting 2) Semi-Abstract painting 3) Expressionism painting and 4) Mixed media.

3. Representation of the artworks to the society are classified into 3 issues: 1) Life perspective and natural awareness 2) social issues with material prosperity career of women and 3) political issues, economy and social issues.

วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มุ่งศึกษาผลงานศิลปะของทวี รัชนีกรที่สะท้อนประเด็นทางสังคมไทย ในช่วงปี พ.ศ. 2501-2559 โดยการศึกษาครั้งนี้ได้แบ่งผลงานสร้างสรรค์ของทวี รัชนีกรออกเป็น 7 ยุค ดังนี้ 1) ยุคนักศึกษาศิลปากร ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ.2501-2504 2) ยุคสงครามเวียดนาม 3) ยุคหลัง 6 ตุลาคม 2519 4) ยุคประติมากรรม สื่อผสม ทศวรรษ 2530 5) ยุคเทคนิคผสมบนกระดาษข่อย, ใบลาน พ.ศ. 2542-2546 6) ยุคจิตรกรรมสะท้อนสังคมและการเมือง ยุคทศวรรษ 2540 7) ยุคจิตรกรรม สะท้อนเรื่องมนุษย์และสังคมไทย ยุคทศวรรษ 2550-2559 โดยทำการศึกษาศิลปะในแต่ละยุคที่ สะท้อนประเด็นสังคมอย่างเด่นชัด จากการศึกษาผลงานสร้างสรรค์ที่โดดเด่นทั้ง 7 ยุค สามารถ วิเคราะห์ได้เป็น 3 ประเด็น ดังนี้

1. ที่มาของแนวความคิดในการสร้างสรรค์ จำแนกออกเป็น 5 กลุ่ม คือ 1) แนวคิดจาก ธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม2) แนวคิดมาจากวิถีชีวิต 3) แนวคิดจากสงครามเวียดนาม 4) แนวคิด จากการเมือง และ 5) แนวคิดจากสภาพสังคม

2. รูปแบบ เทคนิคและวิธีการสร้างสรรค์งานศิลปะของทวี รัชนีกร จำแนกได้ 4 รูปแบบ คือ 1) แนวการเขียนภาพแบบสัจจนิยม 2) แนวการเขียนแบบกึ่งนามธรรม 3) แนวการเขียนตาม แนวทางของลัทธิเอ็กเพรสชั่นนิสม์ และ 4) การใช้วัสดุผสม

3. ผลงานศิลปะที่นำเสนอประเด็นสังคมของทวี รัชนีกร สามารถแบ่งกลุ่มในการวิเคราะห์ เป็นจำนวน 3 กลุ่ม คือ 1) ประเด็นเรื่องราวของชีวิตและการสร้างสำนึกเรื่องธรรมชาติ 2) ประเด็น สังคมที่มีความเจริญทางวัตถุ อาชีพของหญิงสาว และ 3) ประเด็นทางการเมือง เศรษฐกิจและสังคม
