Faith of Hijab

Abstract

The objective of thesis 'Faith of Hijab' is intended to create visual arts that reflect their personal attitudes which are inspired by religion, beliefs, faith, environment, culture and local traditions, including the way of life where women of the family member are born and raised.

By cutting the batik cloth one by one, this is a reflection of attitudes towards beliefs, religions, traditions and the culture of the hometown with the technique of bind, bundle, knit, weaving through the mixed media, which was influenced by the Installation art into 3 pieces. The first piece represent the story of me as a eldest daughter and grew up in a Muslim family in the southern of Thailand. Thus being raised and educated according to religious teachings since childhood by focusing on transferring the doctrine as important but not strict enforce in religious practice. Nevertheless, I always remembered to behave as a good Muslim. Therefore, using the hoop for stretch the fabric tightly at the time of needing to embroider as a symbol for creating visual art. The second piece, chosen Agriculture appliances and skin care products to create this piece for presenting my personal experience. As a person who has seen a picture of a woman in the family holding a spade on weathered since young age, even though the burden is heavy. Being a women cannot abandon the love of beauty.

วิทยานิพนธ์เรื่อง ศรัทธา แห่งฮิญาบ (Faith of Hijab) มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสร้างสรรค์ผลงานทัศนศิลป์สะท้อนทัศนคติส่วนตนที่ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากศาสนา ความเชื่อความศรัทธา สภาพแวดล้อม วัฒนธรรม และขนบธรรมเนียมประเพณีในท้องถิ่นที่เกิดและเติบโต รวมถึงวิถีชีวิตของผู้ผญิงในครอบครัว

โดยนำผ้าปาเต๊ะมาตัดทีละเส้น ๆ เป็นสื่อสะท้อนถึงทัศนคติที่มีต่อ ความเชื่อ ศาสนา ขนบธรรมเนียมประเพณี และวัฒนธรรมของถิ่นฐานบ้านเกิด ด้วยเทคนิค ผูก มัด ถัก ทอ ผ่านผลงานทัศนศิลป์แบบสื่อผสม (Mixed media) ซึ่งได้รับอิทธิพลจากงานศิลปะจัดวาง (Installation) ทั้งหมด 3 ชิ้น ชิ้นที่ 1 ถ่ายทอดเรื่องราวของข้าพเจ้าที่เป็นลูกสาวคนโตและเติบโตมาในครอบครัวที่นับถือศาสนาอิสลามทางภาคใต้ จึงได้รับการอบรมเลี้ยงดูตามหลักคำสอนของศาสนามาตั้งแต่วัยเด็ก โดยมุ่งเน้นการถ่ายทอดหลักคำสอนเป็นสำคัญ แต่มิได้บังคับในการปฏิบัติศาสนกิจอย่างเคร่งครัดจนเกินไป กระนั้นข้าพเจ้าก็ระลึกเสมอถึงการปฏิบัติตัวเป็นมุสลิมที่ดี จึงนำ สะดึง ที่ใช้สำหรับขึงผ้าให้ตึงในเวลาที่ต้องการปักมาเป็นสัญญะในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานทัศนศิลป์ ชิ้นที่ 2 เลือกนำเครื่องมือ เครื่องใช้ทางการเกษตร และเครื่องประทินผิวมาสร้างสรรค์เป็นผลงานเพื่อถ่ายทอดประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวของข้าพเจ้า ที่เห็นภาพผู้หญิงในครอบครัวจับจอบจับเสียม ตากแดดตากลมจนเป็นภาพชินตาตั้งแต่วัยเยาว์ แม้ภาระหน้าที่จะหนักหนาเพียงใดก็มิอาจละทิ้งนิสัยรักสวยรักงามได้เพราะความเป็น “ผู้หญิง” ชิ้นที่ 3 ศาสนาอิสลามมีคำสอนให้มุสลิมทุกคน ว่าในขณะที่มีชีวิตอยู่บนโลกดุนยา (โลกปัจจุบัน) มุสลิมต้องปฏิบัติตนตามแนวทางของศาสนบัญญัติในทุก ๆ ลมหายใจอย่างเคร่งครัด รวมทั้งการคลุมฮิญาบของสตรีมุสลิม จากหลักคำสอนดังกล่าวได้เกิดเป็นแรงบันดาลใจในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน “พื้นที่หลังความตาย”
