CHARACTERS FORM THAI LITERATURE IN NEW-STYLE THAI SONGS

Abstract

The Thesis studies the New-Style Thai songs created from characters in Thai literature published on www.youtube.com until December, 2017 aims to 1. To study the interpretation of characters from Thai literature in New-Style Thai songs and 2. To study storytelling method of characters from Thai literature in New-Style Thai songs

The study results showed that New-Style Thai song created from the characters in Thai literature, compiled from the scope of this research, from 16 Thai literatures. There are 60 characters from Thai literature and the characters most variedly mentioned in the New-style Thai songs were from Ramakian. Character presentation by telling the story of characters from Thai literature, telling emotions, stories, important events the story, background, including the character characteristics and references or comparison between the characters from Thai literature and people in society. Regarding the interpretation of characters Thai literature in the song, the researcher compared the characters between literature and songs, While some characters were presented with their original roles, some are presented with changing roles and both original role and changing roles.

The storytelling method of characters from Thai literature in New-Style Thai songs, it is found that the names of songs refer to the characters in Thai literature. As for the strategy of choosing the narrator, there are 3 types which are the narrator is a character from Thai literature. Storyteller that is not a character and blended storytellers in which the narrative perspective can be divided into internal views, external view and the combination between an external perspective and an internal perspective in addition, dialogue is used to present the story of the characters, with a narrative style similar to the Folksong. That cried out to each other there is also the use of language that has the choice of sound, word and analogy in story telling. The creative meanings of characters in Thai literature affects 3 concepts of presenting in the song which are concepts of Love, Role of women and Humans and society. The creative meaning of the song demonstrated the characteristics of popular culture created through new media. Modification and reproduction of characters in New-Style Thai songs are disintegrate of art or high culture and popular culture. Voice of the powerless people and express the identity of the new generation through characters from Thai literature. These presentation of characters from literature in the songs has been interpreted and created according to the views of people in society.

วิทยานิพนธ์นี้ศึกษาบทเพลงไทยสากลที่สร้างสรรค์จากตัวละครในวรรณคดีที่เผยแพร่ใน www.youtube.com จนถึงเดือนธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2560 โดยมุ่งศึกษาตัวละครจากวรรณคดีไทยที่ปรากฏในบทเพลงไทยสากล ซึ่งการศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 2 ประการ คือ 1. เพื่อศึกษาการสื่อความหมายของตัวละครจากวรรณคดีไทยในบทเพลงไทยสากล และ 2. เพื่อศึกษากลวิธีการเล่าเรื่องตัวละครจากวรรณคดีไทยในบทเพลงไทยสากล

ผลการศึกษาพบว่า บทเพลงไทยสากลที่สร้างสรรค์จากตัวละครในวรรณคดีไทยจากการรวบรวมตามขอบเขตการวิจัยครั้งนี้มาจากวรรณคดีไทยจำนวน 16 เรื่อง ปรากฏตัวละครจากวรรณคดีไทยทั้งหมด 60 ตัว วรรณคดีไทยเรื่องที่นิยมนำตัวละครมาสร้างสรรค์เป็นบทเพลงไทยสากลและมีความหลากหลายมากที่สุด ได้แก่ เรื่องรามเกียรติ์ โดยนำตัวละครจากวรรณคดีไทยมาใช้ในการเล่าเรื่องราวของตัวละคร ได้แก่ การเล่าอารมณ์ความรู้สึก เรื่องราวเหตุการณ์สำคัญ เรื่องราวความเป็นมารวมไปถึงลักษณะต่าง ๆ ของตัวละคร และการกล่าวอ้างถึงหรือเพื่อเปรียบเทียบระหว่างตัวละครจากวรรณคดีไทยกับบุคคลในสังคม ด้านการสื่อความหมายของตัวละครจากวรรณคดีไทยผู้วิจัยเปรียบเทียบระหว่างตัวบทวรรณคดีไทยกับบทเพลงไทยสากลพบว่ามีทั้งความหมายที่สอดคล้องกับความหมายเดิม การเปลี่ยนแปลงความหมาย และการผสมผสานระหว่างความหมายเดิมและการสร้างความหมายใหม่ ทั้งนี้การสร้างความหมายต่าง ๆ ของตัวละครในวรรณคดีไทยส่งผลต่อแนวคิดการนำเสนอเรื่องราวต่าง ๆ ในบทเพลง

ด้านกลวิธีการเล่าเรื่องตัวละครจากวรรณคดีไทยในบทเพลงไทยสากลพบว่ามีการตั้งชื่อเพลงกล่าวถึงตัวละครในวรรณคดีไทย ส่วนกลวิธีการเลือกใช้ผู้เล่าเรื่องมี 3 แบบคือ ผู้เล่าเรื่องเป็นตัวละครจากวรรณคดีไทย ผู้เล่าเรื่องทีไม่ใช่ตัวละคร และผู้เล่าเรื่องแบบผสมผสาน โดยมุมมองการเล่านั้นสามารถแบ่งออกเป็นมุมมองแบบภายใน มุมมองแบบภายนอก และการผสมผสานระหว่างมุมมองภายนอกสลับกับมุมมองภายใน นอกจากนี้ยังมีการใช้บทสนทนาโต้ตอบในการนำเสนอเรื่องราวของตัวละครโดยมีลักษณะการเล่าเรื่องคล้ายกับเพลงปฏิพากย์ ที่ร้องโต้ตอบกัน อีกทั้งมีการใช้ภาษาที่มีการเลือกใช้เสียงของคำ คำ และความเปรียบในการเล่าเรื่อง ด้านแนวคิดที่ปรากฏมี 3 แนวคิด ได้แก่ แนวคิดเกี่ยวกับความรัก แนวคิดเกี่ยวกับบทบาทของสตรี และแนวคิดเกี่ยวกับมนุษย์และสังคม ซึ่งแนวคิดในบทเพลงแสดงให้เห็นลักษณะของวัฒนธรรมประชานิยมที่สร้างสรรค์ผ่านสื่อใหม่ การดัดแปลงและการถ่ายทอดตัวละครในบทเพลงไทยสากล การสลายเส้นกั้นระหว่างศิลปะหรือวัฒนธรรมชั้นสูงกับวัฒนธรรมประชานิยม การให้เสียงแก่คนไร้อำนาจ และการนำเสนอตัวตนของคนรุ่นใหม่ผ่านตัวละครจากวรรณคดีไทย ทั้งนี้แสดงให้เห็นว่าการนำเสนอตัวละครจากวรรณคดีไทยในบทเพลงไทยสากลมีการตีความและสร้างสรรค์ตามทรรศนะของคนในสังคมปัจจุบัน
