Social and Economic Influences in the Conservation and Improvement of Architectural Heritage of Pak Nam Prasae Community, Klaeng District, Rayong Province

Abstract

The research aims to study the conservative significance by using the limitation of resources and economic support. Reflected by the changes in occupational structure correlated with the social and rural development, leading to the changes of architecture style from the residence using for fishing preparation for their career to the residence that arranges for tourism. As the early incident leads to the research questions, how do the changes of occupational structure affect external form, style, and usability of the architecture, and also community lifestyle?The instruments employed in this research were primary source information by fieldwork, for example, area survey, location, transportation road, and environment, along with secondary source information by studying related literature and document, theories, community’s development, and community’s basic information.

The research findings were as follows: The transformation of fisherman's residence style had built to serve tourism which was influenced by the theory of career adaptation and later on, affected the architecture style. The transformation of architectural style depends on the original structure, investment capital, understanding of architecture, and the valuation of the transformation process which includes simulation model, meaning, and the usability in their space instead of the original benefit.

การศึกษาเรื่องการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางเศรษฐกิจที่มีผลต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงรูปแบบการใช้งานที่อยู่อาศัยของชุมชนปากน้ำประแส อำเภอแกลง จังหวัดระยอง มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาถึงการให้ความสำคัญในเชิงอนุรักษ์โดยการใช้ข้อจำกัดด้านทรัพยากรและการเอื้ออำนวยบริบททางเศรษฐกิจ สะท้อนจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงโครงสร้างของการประกอบอาชีพที่สัมพันธ์กับพัฒนาการทางสังคมและเมือง ซึ่งการเปลี่ยนแปลงเหล่านี้ได้นำไปสู่การเปลี่ยนรูปแบบทางสถาปัตยกรรมของที่พักอาศัยจากบ้านซึ่งเป็นสถานที่จัดเตรียมสิ่งของประกอบอาชีพประมงไปสู่บ้านเพื่อเป็นสถานที่รองรับนักท่องเที่ยว จากเหตุการณ์ที่กล่าวมานำไปสู่คำถามวิจัยที่ว่า การเปลี่ยนแปลงโครงสร้างทางอาชีพส่งผลต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงลักษณะทางกายภาพ รูปแบบ และการใช้งานสถาปัตยกรรมในชุมชน รวมถึงวิถีการดำเนินชีวิตอย่างไร โดยการศึกษาครั้งนี้ใช้วิธีการค้นคว้าข้อมูลแบบปฐมภูมิในการลงศึกษาพื้นที่ เช่น การสำรวจชุมชน สถานที่ตั้ง เส้นทางคมนาคม สภาพแวดล้อม พร้อมทั้งการค้นคว้าแบบทุติยภูมิ โดยศึกษาข้อมูลจากเอกสารที่เกี่ยวข้อง ทั้งแนวคิด ทฤษฎี และการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่เกิดขึ้น รวมไปถึงข้อมูลพื้นฐานของชุมชน และนำไปอภิปรายผ่านกรอบแนวคิดเรื่องการอนุรักษ์ชุมชนประวัติศาสตร์ในประเทศไทย ทั้งแนวคิด วิธีการ และการให้คุณค่า ผลการศึกษาพบว่า การเปลี่ยนแปลงทางสถาปัตยกรรมบ้านชาวประมงเดิมเพื่อใช้งานใหม่ในรูปแบบการบริการเพื่อการท่องเที่ยวนั้น จะอยู่ภายใต้กรอบแนวคิดของการปรับเปลี่ยนอาชีพ ซึ่งส่งให้เกิดการปรับเปลี่ยนลักษณะทางสถาปัตยกรรมในเวลาต่อมาโดยลักษณะการเปลี่ยนแปลงขึ้นอยู่กับสภาพเดิมของลักษณะทางสถาปัตยกรรม เงินลงทุน ความเข้าใจในสถาปัตยกรรม การให้คุณค่าที่สัมพันธ์ไปกับวิธีการในการจัดการเปลี่ยนแปลงรูปลักษณะทางสถาปัตยกรรม ทั้งในรูปแบบการจำลอง การสื่อความหมาย การใช้พื้นที่ที่มีอยู่ทดแทนการใช้งานเดิม
