SELF PORTRAIT : CONFRONT THE ENVIRONMENT

Abstract

Creative art thesis on SELF PORTRAIT: CONFRONTING THE ENVIRONMENT aims to create paintings that describe an environment that changes over time. Various situations cause us to feel emotional, depressed, uncomfortable. The dire situation arises, the complex adaptation to the current climate, and the impact on people's lives is caused by the lethargy and selfishness of human beings. When the pollution in the environment threatens me, it creates awareness and struggles for survival. Therefore, I imagine a terrible crisis that unknowingly threatens human life.

The scope of the study presents painting that involve an adaptation to the changing environment caused by human inclinations and selfishness. I my own portrait as a symbol of battle in a dull and threatening environment through surrealist painting. This works were created with oil painting methods on canvas with a unique and personal technique. I were to communicate by creating a story beyond reality, including the volume and, colour of the imagery, creating a confusing, mysterious, dark, gloomy, yet hidden beauty in the image.

The study results and the creation of the work were from the analysis and composition of the work to meet the objectives by expressing in 2-dimensional paintings in a total of 4 pieces as follows: 1. "Happiness in Thought" size 140 x 90 cm. 2. "Response to Happiness" size 150 x 100 cm, item 3. "Moment of Happiness" size 160 x 110 cm, and 4. "Passionate in Happiness" size 140 x 90 cm.

All works express the confrontation of the terrible crisis that unfolds on the environment, which cannot be reversed. These works also simulate human consciousness, loving and cherishing nature, and realising the value of life and leading to adaptations to survive in this dire situation.

การสร้างสรรค์ผลงานวิทยานิพนธ์ หัวข้อเรื่อง “ตัวตนของข้าพเจ้า : การเผชิญหน้ากับสิ่งแวดล้อม” (SELF PORTRAIT : CONFRONTING THE ENVIRONMENT) มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อสร้างสรรค์ผลงานจิตรกรรม จากเรื่องราวความคิดที่เกิดขึ้นกับสภาพแวดล้อมที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไป ของโลกปัจจุบัน สถานการณ์ต่างๆ มักทำให้เราเกิดความรู้สึก สะเทือนใจ หดหู่ รู้สึกไม่สบายใจ จากสถานการณ์อันเลวร้ายที่เกิดขึ้น การปรับตัวอยู่กับสภาวะแวดล้อมที่เป็นอยู่อย่างยากลำบาก และส่งผลกระทบกับชีวิตของผู้คนในปัจจุบัน อันเกิดจากความมักง่ายและความเห็นแก่ตัวของมนุษย์ เมื่อมลภาวะต่างๆในสภาพแวดล้อมคุกคามมาสู่ข้าพเจ้า จึงทำให้เกิดความตระหนักดิ้นรนต่อสู้ เพื่อความอยู่รอด ข้าพเจ้าจึงเกิดจินตนาการสร้างสรรค์เป็นภาพวิกฤตการณ์อันเลวร้ายที่คุกคาม คืบคลาน เข้ามาสู่ชีวิตมนุษย์โดยไม่รู้ตัว ในช่วงเวลาที่เรามีความสุขอยู่กับโลกของตนเอง

ขอบเขตของการศึกษา นำเสนอผลงานสร้างสรรค์ ในรูปแบบของงานจิตรกรรม ที่มีเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับ การปรับตัวอยู่กับสภาพแวดล้อมที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไป อันเกิดจาก ความมักง่ายและเห็นแก่ตัวของมนุษย์ โดยศึกษาข้อมูลเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับ “ความสัมพันธ์ของมนุษย์กับสิ่งแวดล้อม” ข้าพเจ้าใช้ภาพเหมือนของตนเอง เป็นสัญลักษณ์ของการต่อสู้ ท่ามกลางสภาพแวดล้อมที่หมองหม่น และกำลังคุมคามเข้ามาโดยไม่รู้ตัว ผ่านทางผลงานจิตรกรรม 2 มิติ รูปแบบเหนือจริง(Surrealism) ด้วยวิธีการทางจิตรกรรมสีน้ำมันบนผ้าใบ (Oill on Canvas) ที่มีเทคนิควิธีการในรูปแบบเฉพาะตน ในการสื่อความหมายสร้างเรื่องราวขึ้นมาใหม่ ให้เหนือจากความเป็นจริง น้ำหนักโครงสีของภาพ เกิดจากจินตนาการ ให้ความสับสน น่าค้นหา มืดหม่น ดูเศร้าหมอง แต่ก็แอบแฝงความสวยงามของตนเองที่ซ่อนอยู่ในภาพ เกิดความขัดแย้งกันขึ้น

ผลการศึกษาและการสร้างสรรค์ครั้งนี้ ข้าพเจ้าได้นำข้อมูลมาวิเคราะห์และสร้างสรรค์ผลงานให้ตรงต่อวัตถุประสงค์ โดยแสดงออกเป็นผลงานจิตรกรรม 2 มิติ จำนวน 4 ชิ้น ดังนี้ ชิ้นที่ 1.ชื่อผลงาน “สุขในความคิด” (Happiness in Thought) ขนาด 140 x 90 ซม., ชิ้นที่ 2.ชื่อผลงาน “สนองความสุข” ( Response to Happiness) ขนาด 150 x 100 ซม., ชิ้นที่ 3.ชื่อผลงาน “ห้วงของความสุข” (Moment of Happiness) ขนาด 160 x 110 ซม., ชิ้นที่ 4.ชื่อผลงาน “หลงใหลในความสุข” (Passion in Happiness) ขนาด 140 x 90 ซม. แสดงออกถึง การเผชิญหน้า กับวิกฤตการณ์อันเลวร้ายที่เกิดขึ้นกับสภาพแวดล้อม โดยไม่อาจหวนคืนกลับมาดังเดิมได้ เพื่อกระตุ้นจิตสำนึกของมนุษย์ ให้เกิดความรักและหวงแหนธรรมชาติ เกิดความตระหนักนึกถึงคุณค่าของชีวิต นำไปสู่การปรับตัวเพื่อความอยู่รอดในสถานการณ์อันเลวร้ายนี้
