THE DEVELOPMENT OF VOCABULARY LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT BY USING FLASHCARDS WITH STORYTELLING FOR KINDERGARTEN 3 STUDENTS

Abstract

The purposes of the research were to 1) compare kindergarten 3 students’ vocabulary learning achievement before and after using flashcards with storytelling and 2) study the students’ opinions towards using flashcards with storytelling

The sample, selected by a cluster random sampling technique, comprised 25 kindergarten 3/1 students from a school in Chainat province during the second semester of the academic year 2022. The duration of the experiment was two weeks. The instruments used for gathering data consisted of: 1) lesson plans; 2) an English vocabulary achievement test; and 3) a questionnaire on opinions towards flashcards with storytelling.

The results of the study were as follows:

1) The students’ vocabulary learning achievement after studying through flashcards with storytelling was higher than that of before using them at the significance level of .05.

2) The students’ opinions towards the studying through flashcards with storytelling were at a high level.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เปรียบเทียบผลสัมฤทธิ์การเรียนรู้คำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษก่อนและหลังการเรียนโดยใช้บัตรคำศัพท์ประกอบการเล่านิทาน สำหรับนักเรียนระดับชั้นอนุบาล 3 และ 2) เพื่อศึกษาความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนหลังการเรียนโดยใช้บัตรคำศัพท์ประกอบการเล่านิทาน

กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ นักเรียนระดับชั้นอนุบาล 3 โรงเรียนแห่งหนึ่ง สังกัดองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น เทศบาลเมืองชัยนาท อำเภอเมืองชัยนาท จังหวัดชัยนาท จำนวน 1 ห้องเรียน เป็นกลุ่มตัวอย่าง โดยวิธีสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบกลุ่ม (Cluster random sampling) ใช้ห้องเรียนเป็นหน่วยการสุ่ม ได้นักเรียนระดับชั้นอนุบาล 3/1 จำนวน 25 คน โดยใช้ระยะเวลาในการทดลองเป็นเวลา 2 สัปดาห์ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย 1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์โดยใช้บัตรคำศัพท์ประกอบการเล่านิทานสำหรับนักเรียนระดับชั้นอนุบาล 3 2) แบบทดสอบวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษก่อนและหลังเรียน สำหรับนักเรียนระดับชั้นอนุบาล 3 เป็นข้อสอบแบบปรนัย 3) แบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนต่อการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์ โดยใช้บัตรคำศัพท์ประกอบการเล่านิทาน สำหรับนักเรียนระดับชั้นอนุบาล 3

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1) ผลสัมฤทธิ์การเรียนรู้คำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษโดยใช้บัตรคำศัพท์ประกอบการเล่านิทาน สำหรับนักเรียนระดับชั้นอนุบาล 3 หลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ .05

2) ความคิดเห็นที่มีต่อการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์ โดยใช้บัตรคำศัพท์ประกอบการเล่านิทาน สำหรับนักเรียนระดับชั้นอนุบาล 3 อยู่ในระดับ เห็นด้วยมาก
