THE DEVELOPMENT OF ABILITY IN SOLVING SCIENCE AND SCIENTIFIC MIND BY USING PROBLEM BASED LEARNING AND STAD TECHNIQUE FOR SECOND GRADE STUDENTS

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: 1) to compare the ability to solve science of second grade students before and after instruction with problem based learning and STAD technique, 2) to study the scientific mind of second grade students toward instruction with problem based learning and STAD technique. The sample of this research were 40 students of second grade in the semester 1 of academic year 2022 at Pratumnak Suankularb Mahamongkhon School. The research instruments were 1) the lesson plan towards the instruction with problem based learning and STAD technique on the topic of material and use 2) ability in solving science test and 3) scientific mind observation. The data were analyzed by mean ( x̄), standard deviation (S.D.), t-test dependent and content analysis.

The results of this research were as follow

1) The ability in solving science on the topic of material and use of second grade students after instruction with problem based learning and STAD technique were higher than before at .05 level of significance.

2) The scientific mind of second grade students towards instruction with problem based learning and STAD technique as a whole were at high agreement level (x̄ = 2.63, S.D.= 0.29). Which are sorted in descending order as follow : the rationality, the teamwork, the Honesty, the curiosity and the commitment.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อ 1) เปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการคิดแก้ปัญหาทางวิทยาศาสตร์ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ก่อนและหลังเรียนด้วยการจัดการเรียนรู้ปัญหาเป็นฐานร่วมกับเทคนิค STAD และ 2) ศึกษาจิตวิทยาศาสตร์ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ที่ได้รับการจัดการเรียนรู้ปัญหาเป็นฐานร่วมกับเทคนิค STAD กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ของการวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 2/2 โรงเรียนพระตำหนักสวนกุหลาบ มหามงคล ภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2565 จำนวน 40 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย 1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ปัญหาเป็นฐานร่วมกับเทคนิค STAD เรื่องวัสดุและการใช้ประโยชน์ 2) แบบทดสอบความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาทางวิทยาศาสตร์ และ 3) แบบสังเกตจิตวิทยาศาสตร์ การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ใช้ค่าเฉลี่ย (x̄) ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) การทดสอบหาค่าทีแบบไม่เป็นอิสระต่อกัน (t-test dependent)) และการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา (Content analysis)

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. ความสามารถในการคิดแก้ปัญหาทางวิทยาศาสตร์ เรื่องวัสดุและการใช้ประโยชน์ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 2 หลังเรียนด้วยการจัดการเรียนรู้ปัญหาเป็นฐานร่วมกับเทคนิค STAD สูงกว่าก่อนเรียน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

2. จิตวิทยาศาสตร์ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ที่ได้รับการจัดการเรียนรู้ปัญหาเป็นฐานร่วมกับเทคนิค STAD อยู่ในระดับมาก (x̄ = 2.63 , S.D. = 0.29) ซึ่งเรียงลำดับจากมากไปน้อยได้ดังนี้ ด้านความมีเหตุผล ด้านการทำงานร่วมกับผู้อื่น ด้านความซื่อสัตย์ ด้านความสนใจใฝ่รู้ และด้านความมุ่งมั่นพยายาม
