Abstract

การท่องเที่ยวเมืองเชียงคาน เติบโตมาจากเมืองที่มีประวัติศาสตร์ วิถีชีวิตและวัฒนธรรมอันเรียบง่าย ตั้งอยู่ริมฝั่งโขง อำเภอเชียงคาน และถูกพัฒนาจนกลายเป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวภายในระยะเวลา 4-6 ปี จนทำให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็วในทางกายภาพและวิถีชีวิตของคนในชุมชน การเติบโตอย่างรวดเร็วนี้ส่งผลกระทบในหลายด้าน ทั้งเชิงบวกและเชิงลบ ซึ่งการวิจัยนี้ต้องการหาคำตอบในเรื่อง 1. ผลกระทบจากการท่องเที่ยวที่เกิดขึ้นกับชุมชนในแต่ละด้าน 2. การเปลี่ยนแปลงทางกายภาพของชุมชนเชียงคานตั้งแต่อดีตจนถึงปัจจุบัน 3. ปัจจัยที่ทำให้การท่องเที่ยวเมืองเชียงคานมีความแตกต่างจากเมืองท่องเที่ยวอื่นๆ โดยใช้วิธีการสืบค้นเอกสารที่เกี่ยวข้องและลงพื้นที่สำรวจ เก็บข้อมูลและสัมภาษณ์ประชากรในพื้นที่ ได้แก่ นักท่องเที่ยว ผู้ประกอบการ ชาวบ้านและนักวิชาการในท้องถิ่น จากนั้นจึงนำข้อมูลที่ได้มาวิเคราะห์และทำการสรุปผล จากการศึกษาพบว่า การท่องเที่ยวเชียงคานได้รับการสนับสนุนจากการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย (ททท.) และความร่วมมือจากชุมชน ทำให้เมืองเชียงคานกลายเป็นเมืองท่องเที่ยวอย่างจริงจัง และเกิดผลกระทบทั้งเชิงบวกและเชิงลบ ที่มีต่อวิถีชุมชนเชียงคาน ซึ่งประกอบไปด้วยผลกระทบทางด้านกายภาพ ในแง่ของการเปลี่ยนแปลงรูปแบบของเมือง ลักษณะอาคาร และการพัฒนาในพื้นที่ในด้านสังคม ในแง่ของการปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างชาวบ้านและนักท่องเที่ยว ด้านวัฒนธรรม เช่น เกิดการอนุรักษ์และเผยแพร่วัฒนธรรมประจำท้องถิ่นที่แสดงถึงวิถีชีวิตคนเชียงคาน ด้านเศรษฐกิจ เช่น เกิดการจ้างงานและการประกอบอาชีพต่างๆที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการท่องเที่ยว ทำให้เกิดการกระจายรายได้ในท้องถิ่นมากขึ้น และปัจจัยที่ทำให้เมืองท่องเที่ยวเชียงคานประสบผลสำเร็จ เป็นเมืองท่องเที่ยวที่ต่างจากเมืองท่องเที่ยวอื่นๆ คือมีวัฒนธรรมและวีถีชีวิตที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ และสามารถดำรงอยู่ได้อย่างเข้มแข็งนั้น เกิดจากปัจจัยหลักคือ ความเข้มแข็งของคนในชุมชนรวมทั้งพื้นฐานความเชื่อ เห็นได้จากการก่อตั้งชมรม หรือสมาคมผู้ประกอบการในการท่องเที่ยว เพื่อบริหารจัดการเมืองให้เติบโตไปอย่างยั่งยืน ซึ่งปัจจัยดังกล่าวถือได้ว่าเป็นหัวใจหลักในการพัฒนาเมืองให้เป็นเมืองท่องเที่ยวที่เติบโตอย่างยั่งยืน Chiang Khan The city has grown from its history.
