A NEW DIVERSITY OF ART IN BANGKOK

Abstract

The thesis under title “A New Diversity of Art in Bangkok” is from my inspiration to create authentic Bangkok into a new one through diversity factors aspect, both beauties and decadences of Bangkok city, which had been built with plan and no plan of the inhabitants. Those all reflect the city individuality that have got the pattern of mixing in culture and different lives styles of citizen in the society.

By creating artwork from waste materials from consuming and building construction, using traces, patterns, texture, and colors of materials to convey feeling that were composed together to create new aesthetics and diversity forms like the diversity of Bangkok in present.

To investigate and create artwork thesis under title “A New Diversity of Art in Bangkok”, the scope of the study was determined as follow; the content aspect is inspired by the diversity of Bangkok that the traces of time have displayed the existence of the city. And the inhabitants or Bangkok people that run their lives there, they are the ones who determine the content of this thesis including had built and used the materials in the work. The form of creation aspect is mixed media intending to reveal the mixture of forms, volume, traces, patterns, texture, and colors which are visual art structure. The materials used aspect, there are various used and wasted materials, gathering from Bangkok city as to relate and communicate to the content it is, such as materials used in buildings construction and materials used in different activities of Bangkok residents. Creating technique aspect used were cutting, attaching, mixing new form and volume from various materials

Creating artwork thesis under title “A New Diversity of Art in Bangkok”, present a series of artworks that include the composition on a space to reveal the unity. By using mixed media technique with used and wasted materials from different activities in sizes, forms that various in traces, patterns, texture, and colors in displaying present Bangkok city. As to covey visual art aesthetics in which has been set out to make a point of view in life styles under the context of Bangkok.

วิทยานิพนธ์ภายใต้หัวข้อ “ความหลากหลายของกรุงเทพฯ สู่สุนทรียะใหม่” เกิดขึ้นจากแรงบันดาลใจที่จะสร้างสรรค์กรุงเทพฯ ในความจริงใหม่ผ่านมุมมองความหลากหลายขององค์ประกอบต่างๆ ทั้งสวยงาม และเสื่อมโทรม สิ่งต่างๆ เหล่านี้ในกรุงเทพฯถูกออกแบบสร้างสรรค์ด้วยความตั้งใจและไม่ตั้งใจ จากผู้คนที่อาศัยอยู่สะท้อนออกมาเป็นตัวตนของเมือง ที่มีรูปแบบการผสมผสานวัฒนธรรม และความเป็นอยู่ในสังคมที่มีพื้นฐานที่แตกต่างกัน โดยสร้างสรรค์ผลงานจากวัสดุต่างๆ ที่เหลือจากกิจกรรมการบริโภคและการก่อสร้างของกรุงเทพฯ ผ่านร่องรอย ลวดลาย พื้นผิว และสีสันของวัสดุเป็นตัวถ่ายทอดความรู้สึก นำมาประกอบสร้างให้เกิดรูปทรงปริมาตร อย่างมีความงามทางสุนทรียะในรูปแบบใหม่ ที่หลากหลายเช่นเดียวกับกรุงเทพฯ ในปัจจุบัน

โดยการค้นคว้าและสร้างสรรค์ผลงานวิทยานิพนธ์เรื่อง “ความหลากหลายของกรุงเทพฯ สู่สุนทรียะใหม่” ได้กำหนดขอบเขตของการศึกษาไว้ดังนี้ ด้านเนื้อหาได้แรงบันดาลใจมาจากความหลากหลายของกรุงเทพฯ ที่มีร่องรอยต่างๆ ของกาลเวลาเป็นตัวเเสดงถึงความคงอยู่ของเมือง จากผู้คนที่ดำเนินชีวิตอยู่ภายในเมืองเป็นตัวกำหนดเนื้อหาความสำคัญ และยังเป็นผู้สร้างวัสดุต่างๆ ที่นำมาใช้สร้างสรรค์ผลงาน ด้านรูปแบบสร้างสรรค์เป็นผลงานสื่อผสม แสดงออกถึงการผสมผสานรูปทรง ปริมาตร กับร่องรอย ลวดลาย พื้นผิว และสีสันเป็นโครงสร้างทางทัศนศิลป์ ด้านวัสดุที่ใช้สร้างสรรค์นั้นมีหลากหลายเป็นวัสดุที่ผ่านการใช้งานหรือเหลือทิ้ง โดยรวบรวมได้จากในกรุงเทพฯ เพื่อสื่อสารให้เชื่อมโยงกับเนื้อหา อาทิเช่น วัสดุสำหรับก่อสร้างต่างๆ และวัสดุที่มาจากการทำกิจกรรมต่างๆ ของผู้คนในเมือง เป็นต้น ด้านเทคนิคสร้างสรรค์ด้วยวิธีการตัด ประกอบ ยึดติด ผสมผสานรูปทรง ปริมาตรขึ้นใหม่จากวัสดุที่หลากหลาย และเป็นขยะของเมืองทั้งสิ้น

ทั้งนี้การสร้างสรรค์ผลงานในวิทยานิพนธ์ หัวข้อ “ความหลากหลายของกรุงเทพฯ สู่สุนทรียะใหม่” มีจำนวนทั้งหมด 1 ชุดผลงาน โดยการรวบรวมส่วนประกอบชิ้นต่างๆ ไว้ด้วยกับบนพื้นที่ผลงานเกิดเป็นเอกภาพ ด้วยวิธีนำเสนอเทคนิคสื่อผสม จากวัสดุเหลือใช้จากกิจกรรมต่างๆ ที่มีความหลากหลายทั้งขนาดและรูปทรง โดยมีร่องรอย ลวดลาย พื้นผิว และสีสันที่แตกต่างกันเป็นตัวแสดงออกถึงความหลากหลายเช่นเดียวกับกรุงเทพฯ ในปัจจุบัน เพื่อถ่ายทอดความงามทางทัศนศิลป์ที่สามารถสร้างประเด็นมุมมองในการใช้ชีวิตภายใต้บริบทของเมืองกรุงเทพฯ
