Based on this, the researcher apply VR technology to the preservation and restoration of Artistic Heritage, take Dunhuang Flying Apsaras as a case study, Recording and refining the VR design and research process. The methods of this research included literature review, sub-theme design experiments, mid-term summary, comprehensive case design , Design exhibitions and design feedback analysis. The researcher has identified a fundamental process for creating VR art through this design study.  From the perspective of a digital reconstruction of the Dunhuang Flying Apsaras Artistic heritage, the author collates relevant archaeological materials and data, combines traditional artistic expression with religious philosophy, and analyzes the virtual recovery (clothing, modelling, music and dance.) with the theme of Dunhuang Flying Apsaras, interactive experience and the realization process in detail. The whole process of this design work was done independently by the researcher under the supervision of the PhD supervisor, from the selection of the topic, the collection of the VR design materials and the realization of the VR design.
