The Effects of Task-Based Learning and Blooket on Enhancing Reading English Comprehension in The Eleventh Graders

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1) compare the English reading comprehension skills of students before and after learning through Task-based learning activities integrated with Blooket, and 2) study students’ opinions towards the task-based learning integrated with Blooket. The sample consisted of 36 Grade 11th students during the first semester of the 2024 academic year. The sample was selected by a clutter random sampling technique from a secondary school in Dusit District, under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Bangkok Area 1. The research instruments consisted of 1) four lesson plans utilizing Task-based learning with Blooket, 2) an English reading comprehension achievement test, and 3) a questionnaire on students’ opinions towards the task-based learning with Blooket. The data were analyzed by Mean, Standard deviation, and t-test dependent.

The research results showed that 1) the English reading comprehension skills of Grade 11 students after learning through Task-based learning with Blooket were significantly higher than before using Task-based learning with Blooket at the .05 level, and 2) students’ opinions towards Task-based learning with Blooket was rated at the highest level of agreement.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เปรียบเทียบทักษะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียน ก่อนเรียนและหลังเรียนด้วยการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบเน้นภาระงานร่วมกับ Blooket 2) ศึกษาความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนที่มีต่อการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบเน้นภาระงานร่วมกับ Blooket กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยนี้คือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ที่เรียนราชวิชาภาษาอังกฤษอ่าน - เขียนเชิงวิเคราะห์ (อ30225) ภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2567 จำนวน 36 คน โดยการสุ่มแบบหน่วยห้องเรียน โรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษาแห่งหนึ่ง ในเขตดุสิต สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษากรุงเทพมหานคร เขต 1 เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย 1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้กิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบเน้นภาระงานร่วมกับ Blooket จำนวน 4 แผน 2) แบบทดสอบวัดทักษะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจและ 3) แบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นที่มีต่อการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบเน้นภาระงานร่วมกับ Blooket สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานและค่าสถิติ t-test

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) ทักษะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 หลังเรียนด้วยการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบเน้นภาระงานร่วมกับ Blooket สูงกว่าก่อนเรียน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 และ2) นักเรียนมีความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบเน้นภาระงานร่วมกับ Blooket อยู่ในระดับเห็นด้วยมากที่สุด
